These curving vessels are thrown on the wheel and then patiently, lovingly altered, carved and smoothed in several stages. These are the pieces that take the most time and care. They are a meditation and are inspired by clouds, blooms, feminine curves and whatever else is going on in my life. They are driven by intuition and a search for a swirling balance.
Sprayed with tea dust, copper red and a pearlescent glaze called VC Matte. This piece got the most perfect cone 10 reduction firing that really allowed the glazes to bloom.
